Elliott Puts his Pair of Dickies to the Test at Mad Monk

This past Sunday, Dickies lightweight safety boots were put to the test through a series of gruelling challenges and obstacles. The Mad Monk race is hard-core action packed into 10 kilometres of everything from cargo net-scaling to giant wall climbing, to tunnels, tightropes and heavy trekking through mud, water, and an assault course. We are proud to announce that our very own Community Manager, Elliott, participated in the challenge, fully clad in his trusted Dickies trainers.

The obstacle course was situated in the Darley Abbey world heritage village, surrounded by the parkland’s off the banks of the River Derwent. It’s an amazing piece of scenery but a few days ago it played host to a stark contrast of army-style speed, skill, strength and grit. Elliott managed to complete the race in a very impressive 1 hour and 13 minutes and had plenty of good things to say about the boots that saw him through all manner of terrain.

If you missed this one you’ve got enough time to get into shape for the next X-runner event, Water Wipeout on June 29th.  Here are a few snaps of Elliott in action.
