You often wonder if a product is durable enough to withstand the weather, so when Ashleigh from Utamawea Sled Dogs contacted us with their feedback on our Dickies Waterproof Padded Overall, we wanted to share how proud we are of our workwear.
Enjoy being outside in all weather!
Using the suits for daily kennel work and dog training in muddy forests, they have been the perfect outerwear for them this year; particularly the gruelling Winter. The suits have even gotten them ahead in the competition, as they have been able to train in the horrible weather, giving them the edge over their competitors who are less protected against the harsh climate. ‘We live in them’, confirmed Ashleigh.
Maintaining the overalls is easy, says Ashleigh, who told us a quick wipe down or a wash in the machine ensures they are ready for the next day’s tasks.
After using the suits for three years, they now recommend them at their sled dog race events; for participants and marshals, who can end up braving the great outdoors for up to two days at a time! They are certainly setting a trend in the sled dog community. ‘We have always picked your suits as they are warm, waterproof and can handle constant wear’, said Ashleigh.
Do you need a Dickies Waterproof Padded Overall?
It’s technical, it’s practical and it’s certainly up for any challenge. Our Dickies Waterproof Padded Overall has an adjustable hood, cuffs and hems. With a heavy duty zip front under Velcro fastened storm flap and loads of pockets you’ll be ready for any Winter adventure.
The quilted design provides warmth in cold conditions, whilst the back elasticated waist allows for movement no matter how hard you’re working. The zipped leg even allows for an easy exit over your boots after the day is done.
So, whether you’re Winter camping, hiking, or just trying to get through the harsh wet and windy dog walks, we have a range of clothing to suit your needs. You can keep up to date with The Sled Dog Association of Scotland in their event calendar.
