In case you haven’t heard, DickieStore now offer next day delivery!

It’s been nearly five years since DickiesStore partnered with DPD, our chosen delivery company, and we’ve come a long way since then. To make sure you know exactly when your Dickies workwear parcel is going to arrive, they’ve come up with an innovative solution for convenience and peace of mind.

Thanks to their Predict service, DPD will text you the evening of despatch with the delivery date (next working day), with quick text back options if this day is unsuitable for you. They will also text with a ‘one hour window’ on the morning of your delivery, so you can plan your day accordingly.

DPD is a member of one of Europe’s leading parcels groups, GeoPost, wholly owned by France’s La Poste, the second largest postal group in Europe.

The company employs more than 7,000 people in the UK, operating more than 3,000 vehicles from over 50 locations and delivering 1.6 million parcels per week.

DPD currently have two superhubs in Birmingham, Smethwick and Oldbury. According to their website, “By peak-time 2015, DPD’s additional new superhub in Hinckley will be operational, and the facility, which will increase the carrier’s nightly sortation capacity by 65%, will be the largest of its type in Europe.”

Their unique “Follow My Parcel” service was voted one of the top retail innovations of 2014, beaten only by Google Glass. This service allows users to track the progression of their parcel all the way to their front door using a smartphone mapping tool. Customers can watch the progress of their delivery driver on a real time map. No other carrier provides such detailed information.

They’ve also received numerous accolades in recent months. DPD won the “Customer Care” and “Best Use of Technology” categories at the recent Motor Transport Awards 2014, were voted the UK’s best delivery firm in a poll of 9,000 parcel recipients, and were also named the winner of The Customer Focus Award in the 2013 National Business Awards.
